Our Program
At the heart of Curious Minds’ program is ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming’, the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. It is based on the knowledge that children are natural learners and that each child develops at their own pace. We aim to offer every child a rich and unique learning experience that will give them the best possible start in life.
Play based learning capitalises on children’s natural sense of inquiry and dicovery through hands-on exploration of the world around them. Educators embed elements of teaching and learning within the play experiences that children are interested in and natually drawn to. This requires an experienced educator who knows each child’s overall development, emerging strengths and interests.
Each child is different. Each one has a special set of qualities and skills, and brings their own blend of experiences and perspectives to their learning. That is why, at Curious Minds, there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ program. Our educators create a unique learning program for your child, designed to bring out the best in their emerging competencies, interests and strengths.
Our School Readiness Program is run by university qualified teachers and meets the same requirements of any preschool in Australia. There is no difference in the education provided at Curious Minds , to a formal preschool setting, apart from our education and care being offered over longer hours.
Educators at Curious Minds will document your child’s learning and experiences in different forms of records. Families are invited to view all records relating to your child’s learning and development at any time upon request.
- Kinderloop App (records, observations and photographs of daily experiences in which children participated)
- Individual Child Diary (documentation of each individual child and their learning experiences)
- Individual Craft Folder (a collection of each individual’s craft activities and can be taken home at the end of the day)
- Involvement in Learning Projects (documentation of theme-based projects)
